The Benefits Of E Cigarettes

Anyone who doesn't get the whole idea behind e cigarettes can gain a better understanding by reading the list of benefits I've put together here on this page. They've been a direct part of my life for a few years now and I've made it a personal mission to make sure others understand the value behind these products.  Politicians and special interests blindly reject the e cigarette as an alternative to smoking regular cigarettes and some even want to ban them without any evidence whatsoever that they hurt anybody.

So, what exactly are the benefits?

They're less of a fire hazard.

Almost everyone who has smokers in their family has seen someone fall asleep with a lit cigarette in their hand.  Worse, cigarettes are one of the biggest causes of house fires in first world nations.  E cigarettes do away with that fear almost entirely, because their batteries aren't much different than cell phone batteries are.  When was the last time a cell phone battery caused a house fire?  Yeah, I dunno, either.

I do, however, know of several incidences where a child has been accidentally injured by a lit cigarette.  Kids are kids and they bump into them without realizing what they're doing.  Since e cigarette tips don't even get hot, this isn't a consideration anymore.

So, if you're a person who falls asleep easily or if you just have a lot of kids around all the time, these may be a good solution for you.  Even if you don't decide to fully make the switch, they're great for the last smoke before bed and safer to use if you have to babysit.

They're cleaner.

I've lived either with or around smokers all my life and I hate the smell of an ash tray.  (No, I don't smoke, btw.)  They're yucky and when you spill them, they're a pain in the butt to have to vacuum up.  Somehow, the smell just doesn't like to come out of the carpet.  The smoke smell doesn't like coming out of old furniture or curtains, either.  If you've ever been in an old house where people have smoked for years, you'll notice that the walls and the upholstery is yellowed.  This is because the smoke sticks to everything it touches, including your walls, ceiling, furniture, and your clothes.

Tired of your car smelling like cigarettes and the nasty ash tray that goes with it?  E cigs don't give you that problem, either.

Hygiene

Smokers usually smell like... well, smoke.  Cigarette smoke sticks to your hair and whatever you're wearing at the time.  E cigs don't seem to have that problem and I've been around them for probably close to 3 years now.  I've never noticed much of an odor when they're being used, much less any lingering odor after they've been used.
